HAKENSTEEK is a proudly South African manufacturer and supplier of modular metal pegboard systems, accessories, and storage solutions.
By accessing our website, placing an order, making payment, or accepting delivery, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, including the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008 ("CPA").
1. Products & Manufacturing
Our products are manufactured using steel, stainless steel, and selected 3D-printed materials.
The customer acknowledges that:
- Minor manufacturing tolerances may occur.
- Powder-coated and galvanised finishes may vary slightly between production batches.
- Product photographs, renders, and marketing images are illustrative and may differ slightly from the final product.
- We reserve the right to make reasonable improvements or design changes without affecting the intended functionality of the product.
These variations do not constitute defects.
2. Orders & Product Information
Customers are responsible for:
- Reviewing product descriptions and specifications before purchasing.
- Ensuring products are suitable for their intended application.
- Confirming quantities, colours, and configurations before checkout.
Once an order enters production or dispatch, changes may not be possible.
3. Installation & Use
HAKENSTEEK products are designed for DIY installation.
The customer is responsible for:
- Using appropriate mounting hardware.
- Ensuring mounting surfaces are structurally suitable.
- Following supplied installation instructions.
- Using products within their intended purpose.
HAKENSTEEK accepts no responsibility for damage resulting from:
- Incorrect installation
- Improper mounting
- Overloading
- Misuse or abuse
- Unauthorised modifications
4. Product Safety & Load Limits
While HAKENSTEEK products are designed for strength and durability:
- Loads should be evenly distributed.
- Panels must be mounted correctly.
- Accessories should only be used for their intended purpose.
Load ratings, where provided, are guideline values based on proper installation and normal use conditions.
Customers remain responsible for ensuring products are suitable for their application.
5. Delivery & Risk Transfer
Risk in the goods passes to the customer upon:
- Delivery by courier
- Collection by the customer
- Acceptance of the goods at the delivery address
Customers should inspect all deliveries upon receipt.
Any shortages, incorrect items, or transit damage must be reported within 7 days of delivery with supporting photographs where applicable.
HAKENSTEEK cannot be held responsible for delays caused by:
- Courier services
- Supplier shortages
- Load shedding
- Weather conditions
- Force majeure events beyond our control
6. Returns & Refunds
Returns and refunds are governed by our Returns & Refund Policy.
Certain products may not be eligible for return, including:
- Custom-made products
- Special-order items
- Custom colour orders
- Modified products
- Used or damaged items
Where applicable under the CPA, remedies may include:
- Repair
- Replacement
- Refund
subject to inspection and applicable legislation.
7. Payments
We accept secure online payment methods as displayed during checkout.
Products remain the property of HAKENSTEEK until payment has been received in full and cleared.
By completing payment, customers acknowledge acceptance of:

8. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including:
- Logos
- Product designs
- Images
- Product descriptions
- Graphics
- Downloads
